About Me

Welcome to my page! I’m a Pittsburgh born and raised kid who moved to Louisville right before high school. In Louisville, I attended duPont Manual High School, a top 100 school in the nation. After graduating from high school, I enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University. I majored in computer science and minored in business administration, and graduated as part of the Class of 2020.

Besides academics, I am an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports as well as an amateur sports analyst. To further my passion, I have written numerous articles for The Point of Pittsburgh about the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Pirates. In addition to sports journalism, I have explored creating a sports podcast. For more information on it, please see the Triple Play Analytics page! All sports analytics work I have done is housed in Sports Analytics.

During my time at CMU, I worked on various research projects. I worked at the BioRobotics Lab under Prof. Howie Choset in the Fall 2017 semester while at CMU. Furthermore, I have published research on iris recognition and one-way hash functions in the IEEE Xplore Digital Journal. After working in Prof. Choset’s lab, I worked during 2020 under Dr. Sruti Bhagavatula in Dr. Lujo Bauer’s lab within CMU’s CyLab. My research was on measuring and modeling the spread of misinformation in various social networks. This research project allowed me to continue to explore machine learning and data science, while introducing me to more advanced graph theory concepts and the field of social network analysis. I am honored that my research aided Dr. Bhagavatula in her Ph.D. dissertation.

I am also honored to have been a mentor the the Empowered program in Louisville during the summer of 2017. While mentoring, I was able to work with a group of intelligent and hard-working minority girls to help develop their technology as well as business skills. If you are interested to see the work that I did while mentoring, please see the Empowered page!

During the summer of 2018, I had the honor to work at Buchanan & Edwards. There, I worked with Frank Hellwig on a blockchain project pertaining to contract closures. Applying zero-knowledge proofs to modular software design, Frank and myself were able to build a fully functional contract closure platform that exists on a blockchain network.

In the summer of 2019, I had the pleasure of working at General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) at their office in Pittsburgh (Viz). At GDMS Viz, I was mentored on large scale contracts as well as worked on various projects in the defense and aerospace sector. I am very thankful for the opportunity that GDMS Viz has given me and started there full time in January of 2021. After a couple of extraordinary years at GDMS Viz, I have moved back to CMU and have begun working at the Software Engineer Institute (SEI) in August of 2023.

Beyond my professional goals, I am very proud of my passion project: Team SMAK. Working with 6 of my closest friends, I have played a pivotal role in starting up Pittsburgh’s premier Super Smash Bros. esports team. Before the Coronavirus pandemic, Team SMAK started as a small tournament organization group; however, during the pandemic, we have helped empower our growing community in Pittsburgh and have expanded to the Great Midwest and East Coast. As Vice-President and COO, my responsibilities involve our daily operations as well as searching for future opportunities for our team!
